About Me
Here are a few answers to questions from my friends.
I grew up in Ohio near the shores of Lake Erie.
I have three sisters.
My favorite colors are the blues and greens of the lake glass I collected as a kid with an occasional bright red bit thrown in.
I love to cook and bake. My first science fair entry was a cake that demonstrated the chemical reaction between the recipe’s ingredients. Unfortunately, my friends and I ate most of the cake while waiting for the judges to come by.
I first knew I wanted to be a writer when my principal allowed a friend and me to perform a short skit I wrote called The Funny Man. (Thanks, Mr. Rizzo.)
I also wanted to be an animal trainer and spent a lot of time trying to train my cats and dog.
In the past, I worked at a radio station and at an advertising agency where I got to write commercials. But my favorite job was teaching elementary students how to cook. We’d meet in my classroom and make breads and salads and soups together. Sometimes students worried that the recipes would be too hard to make, and I’d tell them about my dog Carlton and how much he liked to help me cook. And yes, there really is a real Carlton.
And last but not least, my favorite kind of cookie is called a Peanut Butter Paw Print.
Here’s the recipe:
